mmmmm my own personal eye candy shop.

its been more than a while....

i have been feeling VERY crafty lately. pillows and quilt projects have been consuming my winter nights. new obsessions have also been overcoming me and my free moments. more cooking and baking these days as well.



work is also in full bloom. my projects, memory-of.com and lineupnewyork.com have been taking 60+ hours of my week away.

In the meantime i have fallen madly in love with this charley harper image and it has inspired a lot of my crafting. I also printed the photo's joey's late uncle took of mushrooms, which are amazingly cute and organic feeling.

i'll be back with adventures from the road and finished projects soon. i missed my blog.

its been a bit!

we had a great time in tennessee. the drive from nashville to memphis was amazing!!!!! the weather was perfect too. a lot has happened in a month, and crafting has been put on hold, so for now i have photos to share! xo be well world.

easy, like sunday morning.

I completed my first sewing class, and i have to say i am much better off than i thought i was. i think this is going to be fun. in the mean time i can feel the spring melting into the chilly days, its so close! yesterday at the union square farmers market i got joey some peachy-orange flowers that look very cute on his desk in their little pot. i also came home to his efforts of a huge photo of us on the wall, rasterbation style. between sewing and sunshine, my spirits are raising consistent, and for that i am grateful. i have been collecting fabric, and learning how to make pin cushions. hopefully i can get them to come out cuter than they have been. i have also been working on wallets. i hope to learn how to do dresses before the year is done. in the mean time joey and i will work on silly songs, and that will be accomplishment enough. and i will get my hands on a tik-tok book!

spring, or not.

so there is this mansion in brooklyn i have been trying to gather information on, and its become hopeless. i hope one day to turn it into something grand, as of now, it neighbors a KFC, and looks haunted and uninviting.

on the crafting front, im waiting for more fabric, and began my forest dress. i also signed up for some sewing and design classes.

really huge, big, enormo stuff going on, but i cant squeal with glee just yet. getting ducks in a row for now.

today will be spent brunching with karen, listening to joey compose, going to atlantic ave with kevin, they being with friends when the sun goes down. yum.

fun times

i finally broke down and bought more fabric. i am thinking about so many projects i want to do! aprons and pillows, and dresses....my mind wonders all day with everything but my actual job. oops!

i think the measuring tape fabric is my favorite. today i started a new dress. i am using forect trunk fabric for now.

soon enough i hope to be a yoga instructor who is a crafter and doesnt have to even think about commuting to wall street during rush hour.

early bird!

before 8am this morning i was naked when the mailman started pounding at my front door. i paniced b/c we never get unannounced guests, so i threw on some clothes and there at my door step was this box addressed to me. i was so excited to find a baby owl! i forgot i ordered this. it looks so cute lit up indoors!

i can not express how greatful i am for friday. its been a tough week. guests upon guests, housewarming parties, dinners, and drag queens!
